New Bus Station in Murcia

The design of this station will feature a stepped structure, allowing passengers to observe bus activity from the upper levels while enjoying views of the city street and skyline from below, despite being located at a level -8 meters below ground. According to Guillermo Jiménez, architect for the Murcia City Council, this station "will have a very high turnover rate, functioning like a small airport, with frequent arrivals and departures," estimated at approximately 20 minutes. The passenger terminal will be separated from the platforms by a glass-enclosed area that will allow for climate control. In this same location, passengers will find all information services, ticket offices, restrooms, the control room, a police station, and two emergency exits—two vertical communication cores for emergencies.
