EMT Museum - Madrid

This architectural project proposes a museum space in the Madrid Río area, defined by flexibility and reversibility. The design seeks to free the floor plan from intermediate supports to allow for the maneuverability of large vehicles and adapt to future uses, drawing inspiration from the transformation of industrial spaces in 20th-century architecture.

The proposal emphasizes social cohesion, integrating neighborhood demands and allowing facilities to be shared with the community. Visually, the building functions as a transparent showcase connecting the northeast housing with the park, making the urban landscape the backdrop for the exhibition.

Structurally, the program is organized on two levels to optimize building density and reduce the visual scale. The main hall is located above ground level, while the secondary hall is in a naturally lit semi-basement. Finally, the roof is opened up to create a connection with the park through a furnished "roof garden," where natural light penetrates between the different transverse volumes.
